Solitude

Solitude is crowded this morning

 

A carpet of rust colored pine needles

Blanketed a path to the water, a still canvas

 

Fish painted circles from below while birds

Waited their turn at karaoke

 

The dragonfly said, you were wrong

You’re not alone
